Hanuman Meets Sita in Ashok Vatika
Lanka, bathed in an eerie, twilight glow, bustled with activity. Hanuman, his tiny form hidden amongst vibrant flowers, scurried through palace gardens, dodging the sandaled feet of demon guards and the curious sniffs of jewel-bedecked peacocks. He followed whispers of despair and the rustling of leaves, hoping they would lead him to Sita.
Finally, he stumbled upon a sight that made his blood run cold. Nestled within a grove of Ashoka trees, their crimson blooms mirroring the setting sun, sat a lone figure. It was Sita, her radiant beauty dimmed by a veil of sorrow. Guarded by fierce-looking demon women, she picked listlessly at a jeweled plate of exotic fruits.
Hanuman, his heart overflowing with a mix of relief and anger, knew he had to act. But how? He cast a glance around the grove. Inspiration struck him in the form of a plump, juicy mango, lying forgotten on the ground. With a mischievous grin, Hanuman transformed himself again, this time into a magnificent white langur, his fur shimmering like moonlight.
He plucked the mango in his new, agile hands and with a playful prance, hopped onto a nearby branch, deliberately swinging it low, the juicy fruit dangling precariously. Sita, startled by the movement, looked up. Her eyes widened in disbelief as the magnificent langur, unlike any she'd ever seen, winked at her.
Sita, ever the wise princess, understood. This wasn't just any monkey. Hesitantly, she reached out and plucked the mango. As she took a bite, a wave of sweetness washed over her, not just from the fruit, but from a memory – the taste of the magic berries Ram had given her. Tears welled in her eyes. This was a message, a sign from Rama!
Suddenly, the white langur spoke, his voice a melodic whisper. "Greetings, Princess Sita. I am Hanuman, a loyal friend of Ram. Fear not, for he is well and determined to rescue you!"
Sita's heart soared. Relief and joy battled with disbelief. "Hanuman?" she whispered, clutching the mango, the last taste a reminder of Rama's unwavering love. "But how…?"
Hanuman, seeing her doubt, revealed a ring – Rama's signet ring. A wave of emotion washed over Sita. This was no illusion. Ram was real, and he was coming for her.
They spoke in hushed tones, Hanuman recounting Ram and Lakshman's unwavering search and his daring journey. Sita, in turn, described her captivity and the cruelty of Raavan. Hanuman, filled with righteous fury, vowed to bring Raavan to his knees.
