Times Tables

A times table is like a special chart that shows you how to multiply numbers. It's also called a multiplication chart. Each row and column has a number, and when you find the intersection of a row and a column, the number you find is the answer to the multiplication problem.

For example, if you look at the 2 times table, you'll see that 2 x 1 is 2, 2 x 2 is 4, 2 x 3 is 6, and so on. So if you ever need to know what 2 x 7 is, you can just look at the chart and see that the answer is 14.

You can also make your own time table by writing down the numbers 1 to 10 in a column, and then write the number you want to make the time table of, let's say 5, on top. Now, you can multiply the number in the column with the number on the top and write it on the same row. Like this way you can make time tables of any number you want.

It's a very helpful tool to learn multiplication facts, and as you practice more and more, you'll start to memorize the answers and won't need to look at the chart as much.
